My daughter is a year old and I'm having difficulties giving her solids. Any advice?

Blend things down and loosen mixture with milk to make it easier to swallow. My daughter did not really eat total solids until she was 15 months as she had only a few teeth and very sore gums. She will gradually eat more solids when she feels more comfortable.

If you are worried about choking just make sure to cut it up real small. She should do fine though. I have two girls and they both were really good about not choking. I know it can be scary but she will never learn if you don't try. My girls were eating anything and everything when they were a year old. BUt start her out slowly try softer food first then work your way up to other things. For example pancakes for breakfast, lightly toasted bread, overcooked pasta, ground meats. We gave our girls whatever we were eating just cut up small. So we got lucky and have two girls who aren't picky eaters they eat everything and love to try new things.
