My DS will only drink water from the sippy cup. Milk in a Sippy will be thrown on the floor repeatedly. The same is for any other cup we have. He will scream, protest , and bang the cups until the milk is poured into a bottle for him to drink. With water (I have not given him juice) he will drink that from any type of cup we have. Any suggestions?

My son did the same thing!! However, for the daycare when he moved to the 18-24 month class they wouldn't let him have a bottle anymore so he would drink milk from a sippy cup for them. But not me! So one day, I just decided he is just too old for a bottle and started giving him a sippy cup. I started with the sippy cup that is called Nubby which is the next step after a bottle....it took a day before he accepted it. The first day he was pretty cranky and needy. But by the second day he didn't seem like anything changed at all!

Don't give in and he will eventually cave in and drink from the cup. I promise you he WILL drink before he dehydrates. You just have to be strong and hold your ground. Good Luck!
