I give my son a cup of milk everynight before bed. instead of the bottle. so you could try still giving her something to drink just not in a bottle.

She does already brush her teeth... I noticed she likes to rub her ear or mine if Im with her. I will try without a bottle and see how that goes. Thank you, much appreciated.

If you are not already doing this I would maybe start with brushing her teeth after she has the bottle and before she goes to bed. This will help change the routine. What may also help is changing the milk to water in the bottle and then decreasing the amount each day or week until you are not longer giving her any.

Some people like to just take the bottle away. Sometimes that works better then dragging out the process. You may have a few nights of letting her cry and figure it out, but they do and they do make it through without any harm. If she has used the bottle as a soother and a way to put herself to sleep she will need to learn a new way to fall asleep and may cry trying to figure that way out. After about a week they are laying down and going right to sleep on their own.
