With my oldest, we copied her tantrums when we were at home, she then saw how silly she looked and that she still wasn't going to get what she wanted- Tihs is much harder to do when you are in public as you look like a HUGE moron and people wonder why they let you have a child. My doctor wasn't so sure about this, but it has worked wonders at our hosue.

My daughter has alot of tantrums so I bought a book by Dr. James Dobson, Temper your childs tantrums, It has some good ideas. You should check it out! It is slowly helping with my child!

try ignoring or if u are out in public remove them. take them somewhere private so they can calm down or they are going home. works for me!

Ignoring is the only way that actually will stop them, much easier at home, for desperate measures when out i do resort to bribary, but make sure they stop crying and say sorry and ask properly before you give in otherwise you will have years of it!!

Get the 123 book. It gives you a total method for dealing with everything that our little angels can come up with including tantrums.
