toddlers eating habits!

my 3 year old hardly eats anything, she says shes hungry but what when i make her meals she's not interested. have tried EVERYTHING, tried letting her cook, letting her choose, different foods etc nothign seems to work. she eats her breakfast fine but is so fussy with other meals. any advise please would be very useful!

don't worry, Toddlers are notoriously fussy. As long she is getting a good breakfast in.

I wouldn't pander to the fussy, at 3 she is old enough to eat pretty much the same as mummy and daddy and having meals together may encourage her but don't offer an alternantive if she doesn't eat what she's been given.

Also be aware of portion size. five hand fulls of food is what each of us should eat in a meal. that is to say five of our own closed hand full, so for your daughter tha is not very much at all. try an experiment with some beads and get her to put five hand fulls on a plate that three times a day is plenty!

my 3 year old is now just eating he lived on milk for the past 2 yrs ordinary milk. he is now eating yougurts my other 2 boys didnt eat propetrly till they were nearly 4 if your child is healthy and can run around and do things like normal kids then id leave it alone she will eat when she wants to good luck
