We r tryin 2 potty train our 2yrs and 10 mnth old son.its not goin very well. i knw u need to hav patience but mine is running out nw.We do reward him wen he does go but more often dan none its a struggle to get him to go.maybe later he says 2 me and then ends up goin in his pull up.he is def ready for it as he wud tell me wen he needs to be changed. he goes very well for the childminder.has anyone any ideas,pls?????

boys generally take longer to potty train but don't force the issue and don't show your frustration otherwise he could regress. take your son to the potty about 15 or 20mins after a meal and/or go yourself when you guys are in there to show him that there's nothing wrong with going potty and that everyone does it. even if sits on the potty but doesn't go, praise him anyway; you want him to not fear the potty but like going.

i think we've just started potty training because our DD told us that she wanted to go so we stuck her on the toilet and she went to our surprise. then there were other times today when she said she wanted to go but never did; we praised her anyway. i don't know if this is the right thing to do but she seems to like going to the potty right now however, she may change her mind one day.

i have read lots of info about potty training and everything i read said not to rush or push them otherwise it will delay things.
