My son's birthday is in Dec so we get hit 2x for gifts in the same month. We try to buy a few toys for later in the year to spread them out. I'd love to hear about toys your boys esp loved and you would recommend to others. I have looked on multiple lists from toy sites but not all sites have ratings...would like to know what toys are worth it. Thanks : )

the little tikes 2n1 work bench is awsome its about 50 bucks at toys-r-us. i got it for my nephew when he was two and hes now 5 and still plays with it. it has a workbench on top they can play with and an engine on the bottom to take apart. it really helps them with imaginitive play and hand eye coordination.

wooden thomas sets. they're a little pricey, but as far as toys go, i see this as an investment. we bought my son his first set when he was two, now he's almost four and it's still his favourite toy. (infact, he's getting more for christmas) my daughter, who's now two, also loves thomas and the two kids quite often build the tracks and play together. it's great for the imagination, too: they're ALWAYS building new ideas! being mostly wood, they're envirnmentally friendly, and made with a renewable product.... which is also a plus. out of all the toys we've bought our kids, thomas has definitely been the best choice :)
