How do I get my 2 yr old to sit still, relax and enjoy his hairwash? He gets frantic whenever we wash his hair.

i just let him play and if you have something on the side he can hold onto ask him to hold on lie back and wash his hair.

I put Glow stars on the ceiling and told my son to look to the stars. I could easily wash his hair and rinse it without getting soap in his eyes

Cups are the only toys my kids play with, but I have my daughter who flips out about water in her eyes, I have her look up up up way up high! And then we praise because she does it, but I get to wash her hair without upsetting her. Which is usually why they freak out about the hair. My first born didn't like water in her ears or eyes. It's a slower bath time, but a happier one!

My grandson is almost 3 1/2 and he is just finally taking a bath without panicking. We still can't get his head wet so we just started using the wash cloth method on his hair. It acutally works. It used to be a two person job to bathe him, but now he will play in the tub until the water gets cold if we let him.

i have 19 month old and i fill the tub, and make sure i put him in it before it gets full and he usually sits there and puts his hands under the water spout and laughs that is usually when i wash his hair first, it preoccupies him and doesn't seem to mind it as much. He also tries to fill up his fishy cups for the tub as well. Try to find a toy that he enjoys playing with in the tub to distract him and might be able to tolerate it better. Just a suggestion, it works for me!

My 2yrs old is the same way and we just distract her by singing to her or making funny noises like squeaking cause we tell her she is gonna be squeaky clean. We also don't dump water on her head we just keep wetting a wash cloth and run it over her head so no drips in the eyes it takes longer but no screaming.
