I have a son who is about to turn seven years old and he still has accidents every night. He is really embarrassed about it so I know he isn't doing it on purpose. As a matter of fact he is jelous of his 5 year old brother who hasn't had an accident since he was 3. My daughter is almost three and is also great all day but not at night. I have talked to doctors, we had him on a nose spray that was supposed to help, it started to but then he reacted to it. I have decided to just let it be. It runs in my husbands side of the family for it to take a little longer, so we will see. Maybe she just needs more time.

i have a 3 year old and he was the opposite he was dry all night when we was potty training him and he would wee in his nappy as soon as he got up but if he needed to go durin the night he would ask to use the potty i asked at nursery and they said that it all depends on the child same as he stopped wettin his nappy before he stopped pooing them but it just takes time and she will come round eventually. as my 3 year old has only just fully been put in pants and still has the odd accident now and then

I recently read something that the bladder isn't completely mature until 4. My 3yo is great in the day but I just put a nappy on her at night.

I wouldn't restrict fluids or disturb sleep.

yes my daughter(20 months) right now is doing the same thing. sometimes if I get to her quick enough she doesnt wet at nap time.. but night time is a complete write off.. during the day she is completly potty trained.. she seems to just be a very heavy sleeper.. I never had these problems with my son now 3 1/2.. what I did a night with him was restricted liquids after supper to before bed, then make sure he went pee right before bed, then at about 11pm I would wake him up to go pee then he was good till the morning(he was doing this at 18 months).. so that is worth a try.. but it doesnt work on all kids because with my daughter I tried doing the same thing and she was always wet everytime.. Ive even tried getting her up at 9:30 11 and 3:30 and still the same always wet.. so I guess I have to wait for her bladder to catch up with her a bit and try again in a few months.. that is the best I can do, hope is helps some
