what can I do to help my two year old son from having a nervous disorder?

For the past few months since I recently moved back to New Jersey, to be close to my family while I was expecting my second child. My two year old son continues to have these nervous episodes, such as screaming while shaking his head and making his face turn tomato red. I have tried to be calm and patient, but he refused to listen. what should I do?

I'm sorry to hear about this. I feel like I can relate. Was your son diagnosed as having a "nervous disorder"? Or is it just a tantrum? I have a two year old son who, at the onset of the birth of my second child, started to have horrible tantrums. I realized he was reacting to the fact that there were changes taking place and could not express his fear and became extremely frustrated. I've also realized there is no quick fix to a problem such as this. My daughter is about to be 6 months old and he still has tantrums, but not nearly as bad as before. I'm still being patient about his tantrums and believe it's just a matter of time before he outgrows them. Also, the fact that you have moved may also have something to do with this.

Here is a link that may be of some help:

Take care and good luck!
