What car seat do you recommend for my one year old?

My son has outgrown his infant car seat. We are looking to buy a new car seat for him. Any recommendations? Anyone try out the Air Protect?

I love my Britax Boulevard. It's a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for. The Britax are the only car seats that are truely side impact tested. My son who just turned 2 has been in it for a year. He was rear facing until he was 20 months/25 lbs, & now he's forward facing and loving it. Overall it's a great (& safe) seat. Good Luck.

I really like our Radian 80 seat. It's the only one that has steel alloy frame and not plastic. It also folds up and fits on plane seats, although it's kinda heavy compared to other seats (ie steel frame) but I don't move my seat so that doesn't matter to me. It a much narrower seat so not so bulky either. I have the 'cool' fabric which is good for me seeing I live in the south. The straps never turn or tangle like our Eddie Bower seat that we have also. It's not cheap, but not the most expensive either. My son who is now 21 months seems very comfortable it it he'ss been in it from 12 months. Oh and it also stays 5 point harness up to 80 pounds! It also seems to have very good reviews on all sides.

Here are some sites with further info on this seat.

and here is their website
