Your babysitter needs to follow the rules you want your child to follow...otherwise get a new one. I have been lucky that my mom is my babysitter & even if she doesn't agree 100%. Be consistant with your discipline even if your not home most of the time....and make sure your babysitter know the rules of what your child is and isn't aloud to do. Good comunication daily with the babysitter is a MUST!

If a babysitter didn't do what I asked of them, then I would definitely find a new one! They should have enough respect for you and your child to do as you ask them, it's not their kid, it's yours. And I agree with Jennifer Buthuis on the discipline thing. Good luck!

I may have to find a new babysitter. A good sitter should respect your wishes and do as you ask.
Have you tried time outs for discipline? You have to be consistent and tell your child no and put them in a time out immediately. The time they spend in time out is minutes equal to their age. So a 2 year old would sit in time out for 2 minutes. You can also try redirection which means you intervene and redirect their behavior (by distracting them) before it gets too bad.
