my daughter has been talking back a lot to me, I tell her not to, but I don't know how to explain to her that she can't do that, I don’t want to spank her for that, I’m just having a difficult time with what type of discipline to use and how to explain to her, that she needs to listen and not talk back. Right now I've created a chart that's a she needs to work on chart, if she does well she'll get a star, at the end of the week she'll get a prize if she gets star's...she's been pretty good about following that, but it doesn't help me to explain to her what she's doing and why she can't do that..How would you discipline? How would you change this habit? How would you explain?

I don't think you need a long, complicated explanation for her. Tell her that you don't like it when she talks to you like that. It makes you feel bad. Try to praise her a lot when she responds to you in a nice way instead of talking back. Good luck!
