I don't shampoo my son's hair (it's down to his shoulder blades) as it dries his scalp out too much. I use a moisterising conditioner (Sukin brand for those in Australia) and then while it's still wet I spray with an organic detangling spray (which on the bottle promises to give my princess luscious locks lol). That was I only need to give a quick finger comb most days and it doesn't get too knotty.

Coconut oil, just a tiny amount rubbed on your hands works well too, it's what I used when I had long hair.

It depends what nationality she is. My daughters are 3/4 black and 1/4 white, both with different hair textures. Go as natural as possible with Olive oil, coconut oil, or shea butter. Or there are hair moisturizers you can buy at any grocery store.

either buy a 2-1 shampoo or what i do sounds like an awful thing becuz u wouldnt do it in ur own hair but a little lotion with the normal rub down of lotion at night works great with my kids.
