Some expets say kids can't really control their blatters until about 12-18 months. So def. no worries if she's not getting it earlier than 18 months. I would say look for clues that shes ready... they tend to show interest like wanting to go potty, or even telling you they went. My daughter was potty trained at about 16-18 months.

if your child is interested in the potty and tells you when they use the bathroom or any little hints about they are ready to use the potty... try & buy a potty chair for the floor and when you go ... have her go and sit there... they will catch on in time.

i started when maddie was ready at 18months and she is smart now three and no wet nites or days it helps if you have older kids,it makes them learn real quick.

i have 5 girls and i too started all mine around 18mths - 2 yrs all of them picked it up in a matter of weeks with the ocassional accident

i find if you train them bout 18 months to 2 yrs its the easiest they seem to catch on pretty quick
