I would introduce the toilet at 2 years old. The key is not to make it a big deal... My son's teacher potty trained her class in one week for the most part. She would make the whole class go every 15 minutes. The had to at least try to go...Another friend of mine used M&M's as an incentive for going on the toilet. The key is not get frustrated and play it low key. Keep it positive. A friend of mine tried to force her daughter on the toilet an she just rebelled. She would even leave our play dates if she soiled herself as punishmnet.

Hi!! I have also just started toilet training my son he is just over 2 and I give him time without a nappy on throughout the day and he is beginning to recognise when he needs to have a wee, so when he starts to get ready to go to the toilet I tell him he has to use the potty and he does try to use it. He has used it a few times, luckily I have tiled floors so accidents are easy to clean up!! When he does use the potty or the toilet, I have a secret stash of lollies and when he has used the toilet/potty or behaves really well and listens to me he gets 1 lollie...but never let them know where the lollie stash is haha. Or if you dont like giving your kids lollies then Helen's idea of stickers is great to or special little inexpensive presents etc, I also make sure I make a big fuss about using the potty and rewarding good behaviour with lots of hugs and kisses and special attention!! Hope this helps. =)

I started putting my son on the potty chair when he was 18months old, but didn't push him ...he started to show more intrest @ 2yr and was totally done by 26months. I recommend that whenever you start, make it fun, give your child stickers to put on THEIR potty when they are successful. Make a big deal when they are successful and tell them you are proud of them. Good luck and happy potty training
