My son was totally potty trained during the day, but never went #2 until he went to bed with the diaper on. My pediatrician said that most kids are never fully potty trained until sometime during the 3rd year. My son (on his own time) stopped using the diaper at night and I've had no issues with it at all since then. He's been totally potty trained since 6 weeks after his 3rd b-day. Hang in there...they will tell you when they are ready!!

For some reason, some kids feel like their feces are an extension of themselves, so they have a lot of trouble going #2 in the potty because it's leaving them and going away. I know it sounds really weird, but true. My daughter was that way, too. She didn't want to poo in the potty. She would hold it for several days *if she could* and then it would hurt to go, so she wouldn't want to do it then either. They do outgrow it, however, you could try letting her go in her diaper, then walk her to the bathroom to change the diaper. Take the poo from the diaper and put it in the toilet and let your daughter flush the toilet and say bye bye poo poo or something like that. If you let her see that it stays in the potty until she decides to flush it away and then give her the opportunity to say bye bye to it, she may be more willing to just do it there in the first place. My daughter is 3 1/2 and goes pee and poo in the potty every time. I promise she wont' be like this forever, but try the saying goodbye thing. I know how weird it sounds, but it might help. *I had read this in a book and before I had to resort to trying it, my daughter started going in the potty, but it makes sense, sorta*
