Why does my three year old wake up dry with a nappy on but wet the bed at night without one on? Also how do I stop this? I've tried waking him up at night to go to the toilet and even that isn't working.

When I potty trained my eldest he wet the bed at night for a good 2 weeks. I agree with no fluids for an hour before bed, as hard as it can be its worth it. What I done was when he cried due to being wet I'd get him up, take him to the toilet and remind him that he needs to go to the toilet when he needed a pee or poo. While he was on the toilet I'd get him stripped off, redress him in clean pjs then go change his bed. He'd stand sleepily watching me and the second it was made he'd be in and out like a light. He got there in the end and ended up not needing the toilet til morning. It's mostly bladder control, kids hate being wet when the shouldnt be and if u use a system like did it shouldn't take long. Good luck and hope all r dry and cosy all night soon :)

I agree with Britney stop fluids before bed and if bed wetting persists you may want to put a pull up on him until he is older and can get up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom.

An hour before bed dont give your child anything to drink and when your child is getting ready for bed as your child to use the restroom before your child is tucked in. Make sure your child is cover and not too cold for your child.
