Why is my 11mnth old so aggressive?

My 11 month old daughter hits, bites, pulls hair, scratches and screams. I always thought that aggressive behaviour was something they learn from others but I am a stay at home mom. My husband and I dont even yell in the house. I do not know where she learned to be such a bully. She only does it to certain other children and myself. Please help me!

i've recently figured out that i have to teach my daughter alternate ways of expressing her anger or frustration. The stage your child is at, she is learning that she has some control over her environment...it's normal...but she needs to learn appropriate ways to do it. For example...a friend of mine taught my daughter to hit the palm of his hand instead of hitting anything else. Try to give her alternatives, and be consistent that she will not be allowed to get away with the bad alternative.
