Will having all sisters emotionally effect my son since there is no father around?

I have 4 kids from a previous relationship, three girls and one boy. A little over a year ago, I found a wonderful man and got married. We were having problems getting pregnant so we used fertility treatments. (He has 3 kids from a previous marriage, 2 boys 1 girl, but got fixed. Thats why we had trouble.) I'm now pregnant with triplets. Recently, I found my hubby raping my kids so needless to say I'm going thru a divorce and he's in jail. His kids went into Foster Care since I have no way to support 7 kids plus myself right now. I've been on/off bed rest and only working a few hours/wk. Anyways, I dont know the gender of the new babies yet its too early but I'm worried that being the only boy will somehow hurt him. Especially with no father around. My parents live out of state, and there really isnt no male role models in our lives. I try to let the kids see their step brothers/sister once a week for playtime. The foster parents agreed to this, but its hard because they always have a melt down since they dont understand why we dont live together anymore. Any suggestions?

sorry to hear that you are going through a rough time . My brother grew up with all sisters and no father and he is a health well adjusted adult

i'm sorry to hear what happened i really am. i don't think it will effect him emotionally but if you are concerned about it try to get him enrolled in big brother big sister program it should help I've hear good things about it have a friend who volunteers as a big sister and she says she has a lot of fun with it. as for the separation delema see if the foster care services has a free counciling service and set up appointments where you guys can discuss the situation in a place that can help explain it. hope this really helps
