When I went to buy our stroller I took a tape measure with me and had the salesman measure the wheelspan of each one till we found one that would fit through a standard door opening without much trouble. Some of the side by side strollers are too wide and impossible to manouver. At the time the McLaren was the winner, and served us well.

maybe try second hand? and i would suggest testing its use before purchase. I bought a really nice double stroller and it wont fit through standard doors and i could barly lift it. So try putting it down and up, and carrying it at car height (hard when your preg) about a metre. Also if possible try wheeling it around a store and through some doors (ask to go out the back) i have really regretted my purchase and am now in battles with my husband to buy a different one...

I dont know much about strollers, I got mine from one of my friends. I also have twins, so I use the stroller a lot when I go out.

I have Had A Safety First Double, A Graco Quattro Tour Deluxe which I loved but the wheel broke completly off after 4 weeks, a Fisher Price sit & stand and A Graco DuoGlider.
I need one that will last as I take the bus with my kids and the snow is bad here right now in Edmonton

We love the Kolcraft Contours Tandem.
The seats can both face either direction, they tilt at any angle very easily, folds well although kind of bulky, large basket underneath, good width and sturdy for pushing, goes well through mud and snow...

i had both, the front to back and the side by side; i would really recommend you getting both if you can;i got my front to back graco from babies r us and that thing was a life saver when i went to places that had alot of narrow aisles like grocery shopping and the mall etc. i also had the side by side for outdoor places for like the zoo and things where they could both see. hope this helps
