I just put my 23 month old twins in toddler beds and I was wondering what age you put you're twins in their big beds and how they did, and if they thought it was PARTY TIME and NOT BED TIME? and what you ladies did to make it bed time????? ~Nina

my taller son just fell over this crib rail tonite for the first time trying to lean over, terrifying, so our toddler rails will be going on today. i have 2 boys that always think it is party time so i have been trying to avoid this as long as possible. i am not sure how it is going to go. any advice or tips on how to keep them in bed etc. would be appreciated. good luck everyone else that is in transition:)

My twins are 30 months old and i just put them in toddler beds. they definitely think it's party time, but i just held them and relaxed them to the point where they would lay down and stay down.
were on day 2 over here and hopefully it gets easier.
good luck!

it's not that I find them in bed together, its they get up and play, they have no toys in their room, and I do a movie at nap time and bed time it cuts the noise down from me cleaning and my 7 year getting ready for bed. I have also tired no movie and they get up and bang on their door. bed time is a little easier because by then my oldest is home and she tired's them out. their bed's are right next to each other.

I put my girls in their toddler beds at 14 months. They're 38 months now and I still find them in bed together occasionally. At bed time we turn down all the lights and give them each a book and small toy. This keeps them in bed and they either look at the pictures or play with the toy until they fall asleep. After they're asleep I usually go in and put the toys and books away.

I put my girls in toddler beds right before they turned 2. They had to have their beds head to head so they could reach thru and touch each other so they would know they weren't alone. I put my girls to bed between 8:30 and 9:00...

I put mine in toddler beds at about 18 mths. I had to place the beds close together and gradually separate them to each side of their room. They're doing fine now, but every now and then in the morning I find one in the bed with the other. It's always a problem at bedtime, but it's all about getting a regular routine.
