This man is RIDICULOUS!!Saying our kids are costing alot of money and it is time we stop educating them!!

“I got to be honest with you, I am not in favor of the No Child Left Behind Act. We are spending millions and millions of dollars educating children that have a hard time making their wheelchair move and, I’m sorry, but you’ve got to say, ‘no’ somewhere. We need to educate our children, but there are certain individuals that are just not going to benefit from an education,” Ewing said.

Ewing is now trying to convince people that what he really said was that these children “can’t even figure out how to make their wheelchair work.” Somehow, this is supposed to make it sound better from having “a hard time making their wheelchair move.”

I found his contact info...Lets educate this sad sorry little man...

I am against the "No Child Left Behind" Act. Not because of the reasons most people automatically assume. This movement doesn't exactly provide proper education to children. As it stands right now is that as long as a child passes the minimum requirements of a curriculum that is all that matters. But what is that child really learning. At least in my area, it is all about the money given to school systems...money that doesn't even actually benefit the children. One school in my district in particular built a new wing and laid off 12 teachers in that school. They haven't even used the new wing! Why did this happen? Because of "No Child Left Behind". Instead of the government just handing the schools money to blow away that does not help the children, how about they provide the actual tools and equipment necessary?

Eliminating educating special needs children is ridiculous! They have just as much right to an education as anyone else. Not only that, but what if the science and medical community do find medicines and procedures that can improve many of the conditions that contribute to special needs? It is always a possibility. I would prefer that the money be spent on those kids as well. That is just discrimination!
