1 year old constipation

Hi all! I have a baby girl who just turned 1. I have breastfed and pumped while at work but I haven't weened her yet. She has moved to no milk during the day but 3-4 nursings a day still so she gets her fat intake! No more pumping! Ever since we transitioned her to food - started introducing foods about 6ish months - her bowel movements have changed. She goes through stints where she is constipated and when she does go, they are pebble like and hard. Then she will have a bigger and softer movements and then back to once a week or sometimes even two weeks with hard, pebble like poops. Doctor said last time more fruits, veggies, prune juice, etc. We've tried all of that and she eats all organic. She eats fruits and veggies and she drinks pear juice everyday. Currently, she is constipated again, had two bigger and harder poops 3 days a ago, a small one two days ago, but nothing yesterday or today. The last movement hurt her though. Any suggestions? Or has anyone else' child gone through the same thing? Just concerned over our baby!

I would try adding a glass of water to her daily diet. You want to make sure she is getting her fiber, but you also want to make sure she has enough liquids too or the fiber does not work. Water or juice is a good natural way to help. Try all natural ways first. If still an issue you can do 1/4 of a serving of Miralax. one serving daily. This will help, but sometimes once you start you will need to use regularly for awhile. I had to use it for my daughter from 1 yrs until 3 yrs old. Worked good.
