I think it sounds like you're following the advice from a book about what your child should be eating or how to take care of a baby.
Stage 2 food? Whatever.
Feed your child what she wants or what is healthy and you want her to eat, as long as it is safe (won't choke on it).
My Dr. used to say about a fussy eating child- a child will NOT starve. They are likely getting the calories that they need even though it looks like they aren't. They WILL eat anything- when they're starving, but they never will starve because as moms we offer them enough variety!
I'm sure she is happy and healthy.
Are you a first time mom? Try not to worry so much about things. I used to worry about everything.
Sometimes- you need to forget about books and pamphlets and comparing to others.
I'm sure you're a great mom! Follow your instincts!

She wants to feed herself. My second one was that way. She would feed herself with a spoon at 10 months, baby oatmeal and yogurt. Cheerios, puffs, banana and avocado chunks with her fingers. She only had her bottom teeth.

No biggie - my baby is 11 mos and both she an her older sister did not eat Stage 2. My baby only has 2 btm teeth and does just fine. Cheese, bread, puffs, and anything small so she won't choke. Good luck.

She sounds exactly like my daughter - she went straight from purees to finger food, because she refused to eat Stage 2. I believe it was the texture she didn't like. However, she coped just fine on finger food, so that's what I started feeding her. She also refused to allow others to feed her, she would want to only feed herself. Again, not a big deal, I let her do this. Yes, it gets messy, but nothing that can't be cleaned up. With regard to her bottle, give that to her first, when she is hungry, she'll probably be more likely to drink it. At this stage, her formula/breastmilk is still important nutritionally, so try giving it to her first.
