14 year old headache

lately he's been sneaking out of the house in the middle of the night to meet a friend. what could really drive a 14 year old to sneak about at night?

for a 14 year old to sneak out there are two likely "possibilities":
1. They are doing something they do not want you to know
2. They are not given enough freedom (within boundaries) to make some choices on their own as a 14 year old.

Talks and conversation in a calm manner will help to reveal what is behind the behavior. Without knowing your child It is hard to know. But I would suggest sitting down and talking It through and avoid yelling and screaming even if you feel like It. A teen wants to be loved, but believe It or not they want boundaries, but only when they know the reason behind It is to protect them
