15 yr old getting bad grades

How should I ground my 15 yr old for getting bad grades in school? She struggles like I did in school so its hard to yell at her but I don't want her to fail. She doesn't seem to care and I never see her studying.

Set up a system of rewards & consequences. Figure out what the lowest "acceptable" grade is for you (in our house a C is allowed, but only if you prove that you're trying your absolute best to improve). Set consequences for falling below the acceptable level. Ours include restriction of gaming & computer access to school related things only. Restriction of cell phone. Extra chores.

Set rewards for maintaining "acceptable". Ours include driving privileges, dating privileges and special requests as deemed appropriate.
