16 month old still not walking?

My son is 16 months old and still not walking. I know there isn't anything wrong with him, as he can stand up and walk along furniture just fine. I honestly think he's just being lazy. Every time I start working with him and I try to let go of his hands, he sits back down. I've tried everything, even teasing him with his binky to get him to take just one step. Nothing seems to work, no matter how hard I try. Everytime I let him fall on his butt because he won't walk, he thinks it's funny and a game. Is there anything I can do to get him walking? Please help. He should be walking by now. Thanks.

as long as he is moving around good and he sounds like he is I wouldnt worry. lots of little ones dont let go and walk until at least his age. They let go when they are ready and Ive found it is best not to try to force it. good luck and God bless

My son is 14 and half months and not walking yet, my brother didnt walk until 15 months and the girl up the road's son didn't walk until he was 18 months, so i wouldn't worry at all, they all have their own pace.

He will in his own time.

Don't push it.

My nephew didn't walk until he was almost 2 and he was fine.
