Hi Mums,

My 19 month old twin girls Twin A doesn't talk or say any words and she also doesn't walk sometimes she will surprise me and stand up and take about 5 to 6 steps then she will go back to crawling. Twin B started walking a couple of months ago but like her twin does not talk the only thing she says is mama dada. They will be going for the therapy that they qualified for. I feel like I failed them since they are not talking. I just recently started talking the girls to a class to play and do play with a purpose for kids at the same age my kids dont listen other kids younger than them when told to clean up they will my kids do the opposite they take the toys out but will not put them back. :( Also when all the other kids and teacher are doing obstacles or an activity my two are no where around one is looking out the window the other one is doing her own thing. Please tell me I am not the only one any helpful tips.

What kind of therapy did they qualify for? Have they been tested for hearing problems?Do you talk to them? Do you say the words for things that are around them to get them interested in learning? You should use everyday activities to help your children make connections between actions and objects and the words that represent them. Point out things you see when you're out and about or doing things around the house. Simplify your speech when you talk to them and use short sentences. Try to keep them engaged in the world around them.
