20 Months child not trying to talk

Hello Mums there, My child is 20 months and she does not talk many words as other kids. I am so worried about it. She can only say about around 5 complete words and around 6-8 incomplete words (car as 'aa', ball as 'bo', bird as 'bea', baloon as 'ba', ..). Today I tried to teach her apple so I repeated it so many times and she was not at all trying to say it. I got so depressed and frustrated. I don't know whether I am doing wrong way of coaching. She can understand almost all the things I say in English and in Tamil (which is our mother toungue). But not trying to tell words. Can anyone help me.
