3+1/2 boy refusing potting training after doing for 2 weeks...

I started potting training him after his 2nd bday. He got interested in his"Thomas big boy panties". Back and forth with it, his baby sister was born and he forgot everything. We gave him some time now he is 31/2, we trained him for two weeks beautifully; after 3rd he is refusing to use the potty and his doing in his panties. I took away all his trains, movies, and toys that he loves. Some friends recommended not doing so, but I've seen that when he is playing or watching movies or playing on his computer, he pee on his panties. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

I definitely would go with a reward system instead of punishment in this case. Back off and he may start showing interest again. This is one of the few things kids can really control. He has realized this. Try not to let it become a power struggle. Hang in there!

I wouldn't say he necessarily forgot everything, but maybe he is having a bit of resentment with his baby sister being around and is now being stubborn.

My suggestion is to let him go around bottomless when he is at home. I noticed with my son, this is what worked best for him. He could feel when he had to go that way and we kept the potty near him. When they are covered and training they get too comfortable.

It wont help much for this one but my advice is: Once you start to potty train DO NOT STOP!!!! Otherwise Be consistent, let your child drink a lot and set a timer to "go" every half hour. He will only take this serious if you do.

Is there some sort of reward system you can use instead of taking away toys? My son is still training (3 1/2 also) and he gets a lollipop (Dum Dums) when he uses the potty. He never finishes them so I save them for later, BTW. Also I have sort of figured out when he has to pee based on when he drank something last. So I am asking him a lot if he has to go. Still won't poo on the pot.
