3 year old bladder problems???

Okay so before I start I know that kids all develop differently and some kids have accidents and all that good stuff but I think my daughter might have an issue. I just want some advice or ideas of what to do. My daughter is 3 and she is for the most part potty trained and I say for the most part because we have the occasional accident here and there. She can go all by her self wash her hands and everything. But sometimes we have this issue where she is wetting herself and not knowing she is doing it. We were playing and in mid run she stopped and had the most confused look on her face as if she just saw an alien and said "Mommy I think I'm wet." and sure enough she was. Then another time she was wearing a skirt and she sat down and I saw her panties were wet (its never a lot just a little bit) so I told her she was wet and we entered into a 2 minute argument about it. She swore up an down that she wasn't until she finally check herself and she was. She seemed so embarrassed, up set and very confused. I'm not sure what to do with her. She really truly seems very confused when it happens and very embarrassed. She has even asked me if she can wear pull ups again and it has been 6 months since she has. And even then it was mostly for long car trips or if we were going somewhere to pay and a bathroom was a bush or tree. Any ideas or help!! Thanks!!

My daughter was 1 when she got her first UTI. It took months of these until we were able to take her to get some tests run. They injected her with dye and then watched it on an MRI. This was so stressful for all of us. They could only see a tiny bit of her urine that was not coming completely out (just enough to fill a thimble) but this was all it took. When she was potty trained, it was easier to "control" but still very frustrating. She would just go a tiny bit in her panties and get so upset by it. Each year she goes back for an ultrasound to see if it is still the same and no change. It has been 2 years since she has had an UTI but still has little accidents. It totally reminds me of having to do my Kegels (sp?) when I was pregnant but try teaching that to a 7 year old with out opening up a huge can of worms! I suggest you have her tested for an UTI and maybe an ultrasound just to take a peak and see if everything looks ok.

My daughter went through the same phase. That's exactly what it is too. Sometimes they get too busy to go, sometimes they can't feel it and sometimes it COULD be a UTI. If this is really really abnormal I would have her get a urine screen done just to make sure.
