3yr old daughter all of a sudden terrified of the bath tub...

My 3 yr old daughter used to love the tub. She would take a bath with her brother, and play with her dolls and toys and loved it so much i could barely get her out. She would always cry that she wanted to stay in there and play some more. The one night when i was bathing the kids, my son (who is 5yrs old) told her that the drain would suck her and all of her toys down there and she would never come back. Of course i got mad at him for saying that, and we talked about it, but now my daughter is so scared of the tub. She doesn't even want to go in the bathroom to go pee because the toilet is next to the tub. When i finally do get her in the tub she screams bloody murder to the point where it sounds like i am trying to kill her. She screams and screams and screams, and she gets so upset that she almost hyperventilates :(
I am not sure what to do about this. I have stopped bathing the kids together. My son now takes showers, and i put my little girl in the tub alone and its still the same reaction. Even when there is no toys in there she still freaks out. I talked to her and told her that just water and soap goes down the drain but she is so scared and doesn't want to take a bath anymore...not sure what to do. Please help!!!!

Lol I'm sorry but we just went through the same thing with my 3 year old. My mother sings her a song about taking a bath and going down the drain. She loves the song but about a week ago she accidentally kicked the drain and the water started going down while she was in the tub. She started screaming and crying hysterically, and I figured out it was because she was afraid.

We explained to her it wasn't possible for her to go down. We even showed her when she got out we pulled the drain and told her to watch her toys. Obviously they're smaller then her and they didn't go down. Now she still talks about it but is fine with the baths. If she still freaks out just keep going baths as quickly as possible and hope it passes. You could even stick her brother in the tub and pull the plug on him :)
