Hey Everyone, my 5 month old daughter has been showing signs of teething for almost a month. she's been really drooling, has a chin rash from all the saliva, a diaper rash, REALLY red cheeks, up all night, and really irritable. she's not napping well either. shes basically got every sympton in the book and she's miserable. both of my sons got their first teeth at 4 and 5 months so I keep expecting hers to pop through, but it's not. her symptoms lasted about 10 days, went away for a week, and are now back in full force. I'm giving her cold face cloths and teething rings, orajel, and tylenol at night when it's the worst. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had kids with really difficult teething..my boys never had symptoms. How long should I expect these symptoms? shouldn't that tooth come through soon?

Sounds like teething. My daughter always gets a fever, and not just a little fever. She always gets a pretty high fever. There is no telling how long you can expect this to last. It all depends on the child. Everyone is different but just keep doing what your doing. You can also try product called Camillia. You can find it at a health food store. It is a all natural liquid that helps with the symptoms of teething. It worked like a charm for my little one. Also, so parents swear by teething tablets. Which you can find those anywhere. Good luck!

My daughter had all those same "symptoms" from about 5 months on, but she didn't get her first tooth until 10 months. Sometimes they really have to work on those teeth and it takes a long time. Try Motrin instead of Tylenol, it lasts longer.

A big sign I've been told is the gums are white were the tooth is going to come in. My son has been having the same problem and he's only 3m in our family babies have been getting teeth at 2m lol. Wish you the best of luck. O we got our son a teething Binky RaZbaby Raz-Berry Silicone Teether - Berry
