My five year old will know every letter one minute then ask her again and she will not know a bunch. Shapes are extremely difficult to remember. Numbers are the same. The teacher has talked about it as well, I'm just not sure where to start looking. Help?

Practice, practice, practice.
If both you and the teacher feels there is a problem, having a learning needs assessment done will also be a good idea.
