I am a first time mother and I am only 19 weeks but i am trying to get things ahead of time so I don't have to wait till later but I have a question what is some advise that you could possibly give me?

Lets see...Don't be afraid to admit that you need help! That was my biggest thing. I was hugely experienced with kids of all ages, had no problems with any of that...but the one thing I never thought of was 'when am I going to shower'? After the first week, when I'd wait for hubby to get home from work so I could shower, or call one of the neighbor girls over to watch kiddo for 10 minutes so I could, one of my friends told me 'I promise, he won't die if you sit him in his carrier on the bathroom floor for those 10 minutes'...

In other words, don't over think things. Don't make doing things 'harder' because you have LO...just ask for help!

Oh, and yeah...SLEEP when baby does! The first couple months, it may be the only rest you really get.

Sleep when the baby sleeps. at least for the first several weeks.

ASK FOR HELP if you have it.

It is so important that you focus as much on the baby as possible.. worrying about meals and house chores is really difficult for some.

Try to cook things weeks in advance and freeze them so you can just defrost and reheat for the first few weeks and gain your strength back.

Also, EXERCISE when you're given the OK. It gives you energy, improves endurance and relieves stress.
