absence seizures in 10yr old

My daughter was diagnosed with 3 mood disorders 2 yrs ago and absence epileptic seizures a year and half ago. in 6 weeks she has had two 8min absence seizures. her doctor is not proactive enough for my taste. these are so dangerous. i really need to know how i can go in and DEMAND new imaging. what are my rights as her parent.

Absence seizures by definition last less than a minute, usually 10-20 seconds. If your child is in a state of seizure for 8 minutes you need to seek the advice of a neurologist.

You do realize that medical science does not mean that miracles happen instantly, correct?

If your physician is completely ignoring you and your requests, switch physicians. However, if what you have requested cannot reasonably be accomplished at this point in time, going in and DEMANDING things isn't going to help.

Hopefully you can find a physician that you are satisfied with.

As far as your "rights as a parent"...Medically that depends on how old your kid is
