Our doctor had us change our son's formula to Enfamil AR. It was like a night and day difference!

I had to switch my daughters formula to similac sensitive (the orange can) and it helped her tremendously. Also, we was told to add a scoop of cereal to her milk. Keep her sitting upright for 20 mins or so when she was done...hope this helps! Good Luck!

ur gonna need to follow up with dr.s and everything else. and make then really observe how he's doing. a friend of mine, her son had it, and eventually had to get surgery to fix it. sometimes its not so serious, but sometimes it is. Good luck with everything

Have you tried Soy Formula? Sometimes cow's milk based products does a number on baby's digestive system.

I would get your child adjusted by a chiropractor that deals with peds. It does wonders for them and birth can be very hard on the spine. My son has been adjusted since he was 6 weeks old, he was never a puker!!! Good luck

hey chica! Im sorry to hear that he is having issues. I would do some research with the part of giving him cereal IN the bottle. It creates too much pressure for their ears and can cause damage. When Alyssa was born she had ear issues and we were going to a specialist every month..so I know a little bit about ear things :) I know thats a spanish thing to do and people have been doing it for years but things change....look into it. Hope he feels better soon!

My son, who is now five, had very bad acid reflux when he was born. Here is what we did...We gave him mylicon drops before eating to help with gas, made sure he was in an upright position for eating, gave him the bottle slowly, take breaks often to burp him, and when he was done, we would hold upright for about 15 - 20 minutes. Also, we gave him a special formula called Enfamil AR which is thicker to help it stay in the stomach better..it already had the cereal in it.

my son also had an acid reflux and he was put on baby gaviscone which worked well. i wouldnt feed him right before bed personally as i know myself if i eat right before bed i feel uncomfortable. but you need to follow your instincts. too many times i have taken my boys to the doctors before they finally figure out what was wrong with them. when i had told them from the start. perservear and if you still think theres a problem keep taking him back

you can have your pediatrician give you RX for Axid......it is amazing and it works!! My baby has been on it for 4 months and we are starting to lower dosage to get him off.

Hi HollyLynne, My son had reflux when he was a baby. The Dr. put him on liquid zantac. He was on it until he was 1 yr. old. It really semmed to help him.

hope this helps. he also drank Nutramigen formula.

my son has it as well, he's on meds and i do put ceral in his bottles as well. 1 tablespoons per

4 oz of formula, it helped a little but he then had trouble going poop so the doctor said to give him an oz of juice per age of month for him as well. he is 5 months now and i started him on food early and it did help him from throwing up as much!! it will pass it takes time and lots of baths, lol.

good luck

Hello... when my little guy was about 3months he was puking all the time and my doctor said that it was because i was feeding him too much. i started to feed him less and he pretty much stopped puking all the time, he also would wake up in the night crying and when i would pick him up he would puke and burp like crazy... i was told to sleep him on his side because he probably was getting the acid reflux which would be uncomfortable and make him fussy... so i hope my little note will help... although there are many other good tips on here for you!!!... hope we helped

Thanks everyone for the advice.. He is on the purpple Similac.. Its the only thing he can have. The doc told us to feed him ceral with it as well. i ws told today that i have to feed him ONLY 2 oz at a time and wait two hours then feed him another 2 oz with ceral in it. HOWEVER. he is eatin 6oz now with ceral in it.. He is going to be very angry when i get home to feed him...

i was also advised to try to feed him baby food before bed to see if that helps stay down. What do you think?

My daughter would throw up all the time. Nothing helped, the doctors said I was crazy. We swiched her to soy milk and it stopped. Everytime we give her and type of dairy she'd throw up again, untill she was about a year and half. I don't know if that helps or not. I thought I'd share, never hurts to hear something new. Its scary when its your child.

Mine had it too, and it stopped after I started feeding real food - with 6 months. There is nothing you can really do... Be patient and wait a few more weeks ;)

My son went on Axid (probably the same as your sweet boy) and we used Enfamil Gentlease. My sister-in-law's baby also had reflux and used Similac Sensitive. Both worked great!

Try burping him after every one or two ounces. He will get mad, but it will help cut down on the spitting up/vomiting. Make sure when you feed him you are putting him upward as much as possible.

It will go away! My son had grown out of it around four and a half months.

I would call his doctor for any more advice...this all worked for my son, but your son might be different for what works.

Good luck! :)

My 3 week old has reflux, I have to burp her after every ounce, or if she's nursing I burp her about every 5 min-she hates stopping but its helping a lot. I'm also having to change my diet bc she has some food allergy. I'm hoping the two might be related, but if you're nursing too, it could be something you're eating. If not, there's a special formula made from Similac for tender tummies. I think Parent's Choice makes the same thing that's a little cheaper too. I looked into this bc I am so limited to what I can eat now.

my daughter was on medications for it since she started feeding by bottle (she was a preemie so she was fed through a tube for a few weeks) but you just have to be patient, space their feedings a little more and feed them a little less at a time.. since my daughter has started taking prevacid she has cut back from puking all the time, she was hospitalized a few times for it after she came home but she is almost one now, and since she has been eating solids it doesnt happen nearly as much

Hi, my little boy is 4 months now, he also has acid reflux. It used to be quite a mess every time he was fed!! My pediatrician suggested I use Nestargel, manufactured by Nestle. It is quite expensive, but since I started to use it, my little boy never had a problem again... I don't even carry around a "spoegdoek" anymore with him!! The Nestargel is like gelatine - you dissolve and boil it in the water which you use to prepare the formula and then you mix the formula with that instead of water only. The moment it comes into contact with baby's stomach acids, it gets thick and stays put. You are welcome to send me a message on my fb profile should you need any more detail. Good luck, but don't worry, there is a solution! :)
