ADD son

My son is ADD or I think so. As I baby he developed fantastically in every aspect but at school he is the worst student constantly. He passed 7 grades with my help but higher grades are more difficult and I don't know the school material myself any more. I pay for remedial teaching and he is lazy, delays, avoids... He is a good child, not angry or argumentative,,, still, I worry about his future... Has any of you moms reached their child so that they started studying or doing something. Thanks, B

So you haven't had him diagnosed with ADD but you are labeling him anyway.
There are a lot of children that don't have any motivation to study or do well in school. Unfortunately, it also doesn't work to push them either. People learn different ways and sometimes the schools don't teach the way kids learn.
How much have you helped him so far? I worry when parents are helping their children too much as it doesn't actually help the child. The child doesn't learn what they need to do to get into good study habits or find the right information through research.
