AHHH Teething HELP!

Melissa - posted on 03/25/2010 ( 6 moms have responded )

So my little three month old has started teething. Her bottom gums are just swollen and she is trying to get everything in her mouth as she just slobbers away.. I know of a few things that are suppose to help, but what are some of the things you moms do to help your teething baby??

i swear on bassets hard licourice sticks, the really hard paddle shaped ones, they are natural and have soothing properties a little like a human dog chew, but be warned it is a rather messy affair

Try freezing a washcloth., or give her one of those teething rings that you freeze & for the future one thing that works amazing for teething when they are about 6-7 months old is frozen grapes! All you need is some grapes and a mesh bag, throw the grapes in the freezer till frozen then just stick them in the mesh bag and give her that too chew on the cold grapes will freeze her gums completely worked wonders for my son!

I use Aston & Parsons teething powder. I also use dentinox teething gel both can be used from birth. I think they are both fab products that have really helped my daughter.

Tommy tippee teething dummys are also great!

You can get all the things i've mentioned from the supermarkets

my sister went through this about a yr or so ago. get teething tablets at a drug store, or even walmart. to also help with pain, let ur baby chew on anything soft (baby okay) that is about freezing cold. they have things that you can buy at a store (walmart) that you can stick in the freezer for a baby. i dont remember what they are called but its in the baby section. and they work good with the tablets. even try some baby pretty sure its safe, but check before you use the baby origel.

Yes!! Hylands teething tablets work great. I use them on my 3 month old!! Also I put his pacifiers in the freezer. He loves to suck on those when they are cold :) other then that lots of soft rags to wipe off the drool ;} and of course love ♥

I used hylands teething tablets...but I am not sure if they are ok for a 3 month old. Maybe look into it because I swear by those. Other than that, lots of cuddles and maybe try freezing a washcloth for her to suck on. When she gets older try freezing yogurt tubes!
