Hi x I know im probably bein really silly but I feel really concious of how I look around my friends x I love them to bits but since having my children, my body just doesnt look right in my eyes and I find myself being jealous of other peoples figures x we're thinking of going to a water park shortly with the family and my best friend who's gorgeous has said she'd like to come with us x i want her to be there as we always enjoy being together and I see her as a part of my family and she's godmother to both my girls but I automatically felt self concious as I know she will go and look gorgeous and I will be there with all my bumps showing n looking enormous next to her xx my hubby hates that i feel this way as he says he loves n fancies me the way I am but it doesnt stop me from having these silly thoughts x just wondering if anyone else has ever felt this way or whether it is just me being silly x

I am 27 yrs old and have a 11 month old son. I got pregnant right after my wedding and like most women I worked very hard to lose weight before the big event. I gained 55lbs during my pregnancy and am still working very hard to get the last 20 lbs off. I still feel big around most of my friends including a couple that are pregnant. It's so NOT abnormal to feel this way, I too am blessed with a husband that does not have an unrealistic ideal of how a woman should look...especially after she's had a baby.:) Try to focus on pleasing him and looking your best for him and the confidence will start to build again. On average it takes most women 18-24 months to loose all the baby weight, if they're fairly dedicated. I hope this is encouraging and helpful for you.

Hi, I'm Heather, I'm 44 and have arthritis (really bad), because of the presdnisone and injections I have gained weight. My breasts just keep on growing (from 36 c to 44dd), unfortunately, my stomach has sagged and my butt has widened, (they think I'm starting menopause!) I'm probably about 40 pounds overweight now but because I am tired most of the time and sore it's hard to exercise alot. I do what I can and I still feel like an elephant or a chicken lol. I have this large body now and the muscle wasting in my legs with the swollen knees make me look like a chicken.

When I am in my backyard swimming with my 7 yr old, my neighbour likes to make comments about how fat I am. I am extremely sensitive and will sometimes hide out in the house!

I don't know if me writing this will help but sometimes I think it's good to know we are not alone in our insecurities. Everyone has something that they don't like about themselves and even the gorgeous people think they are too skinny or too tall or their calves are too muscular. It should be about what's inside but we are a superficial society and that's what makes us feel insecure.

be happy with the fact your husband wants to make love to you regardless, (it burns calories) and your beautiful friend wants you to go with her because she knows your soul. we can change our shapes but it's really difficult to change a mean personality. take care and see ya at the beach.
