Has anyone given baby antibiotics?
Mine had a runny nose for 10 days which then turned into bad congestion and after a test that showed bacteria in her nose, doctor prescribed antibiotics for 7 days.
How long does it take for them to get better? 2 days now and still congested and not sleeping well...
is it safe to give babies antibiotics?congested...I'm w. b

Also use a baby cold cream to rub on chest / back and feets. We have one here called Pulmex or use a bath for colds,maybe you could go ask for one at a pharmacy. Ours is called Desanol and its realy for babies to bath in.Its not as strong as the one for adults.

My son got bronchitis around that age when he started daycare. His dr also gave antibiotics but that only helps the body fight the infection. You have to give it time. Are you using a humidifier? If you dont have one use the steam in the bathroom to help with the congestion.

If the doctors gave it to you then it should be safe,my son needed antibiotic but he was 13months atm i think. Hope your baby feels better soon,,good luck
