Do a winter wonderland theme :) Have the family & friends all dress up in white and make a huge mess! Every little boy likes to make a mess! Put white sheets down and around where lil fingers might get... get out some toys that you can wash, have everyone hang out on the floor with the lil ones... you can get hand paints (that are safe for babes) and you can get all the kiddos & moms & all the guests to get their hands and feet whatever colors you like... get em to walk, crawl, around on the white sheets and keep them for him for later when he's older (or even for yourself). Then cake... make his favorite cartoon character or just even a traditional birthday cake.

Even if your baby is only 1, the time you have, and the pictures you take and the memories you make, are special. 1 years, 2 years, 3 years and on. Even if they don't remember you can still make a fantastic party for you and friends with cool little things like the painted sheets as something special for later :)

I'm kinda lucky for birthdays, my son was born on Halloween... if I can't think of something different, lil man gets a halloween party lol

At the age of 1 he is not going to even remember his first birthday. My daughter's first birthday was just with family. We did not do a big party until she turned 4. Then we had family and friends come to a Mcdonalds party. By age 3 or 4 they will have more fun and remember it! Save your money till then.

I did a Winnie the Pooh theme for my daughters first birthday. I just had simple finger foods (different cut up wraps, pickle and cheese trays) and of course the Pooh bear cake. I did make sure though that pickles and cheese were cut larger then normal so they were too big to choke on incase something fell on the floor, and was found by a little one.

I googled Birthday themes, they had tons of great ideas, I did a nemo/under water theme, purchsed a nemo cake pan and hug long srtands from the celing to look like seaweed, also they have great game ideas to match the theme. good luck my daughter turned one on may12 and we are doning a party on the 16th, fun fun!!! good luck!
