just wondering if any of mothers are having trouble with their 1 years old having a daytime milk bottle?
my daughter turned 1 last week, she has a full cream milk bottle with her breakfast and toddler formula milk bottle before bed(this is just till the can runs out). she drinks water throughout the day from a sippy cup. at her check up with the doctor he said that she should still be having a milk bottle during the day. i have tried to give her a bottle during the day, she may drink a bit but hardly any. i have tried to give her milk in a sippy cup instead and she still won't drink it. i tried to put extra milk in her breakfast bottle except she still wont drink it.
is it bad if she doesnt have the extra bottle?

Thanks, my little one loves her water throughout the day so I would rather just leave her with that then push her into drinking more milk than she wants. It wasn't my normal doctor that I normally see, my normal one was on holidays. But I don't think I'll be going back to see him again anytime soon!

I really would not stress, both my 5yo and 2yo have and probably will again go on a milk strike. They tend to drink milk with meals or in the smoothies their daddy makes them but seriously its no more than maybe 4oz at meals. They would both rather drink water, or green tea.

Why does he want her to have more milk? If she's eating well, gaining weight and growing, and is staying hydrated with water I don't see the point of adding more milk? It can actually make kids constipated to drink too much cow's milk.

well he was saying that should still be having milk, and i've tried with the bottle and sippy cup. i thought that if she was eating a variety of food it shouldnt matter too much, but just wanted to check what every one else thought. :)

First off what dr would recommend giving a child over 1 a bottle? Neither of mine were using bottles at that age. If she does not want the milk and she is eating fine then don't worry about it.
