Anyone else with a really undersized child?

My daughter, who is 10, is often mistaken for a much younger child, she looks younger than my 6 year old! She is getting to an age that I gave my older kids more freedom, but she is so little that I'm worried. Anyone else deal with this? What do you do?

I can't speak much from a mother's point of view...though I may. My 8month old daughter is often mistaken for a 3 or 4month old. I too have been young-looking all my life, when I was 26 I offered to give a woman a ride and she looked at me shocked and asked if I was old enough to drive!!
You may ask your pediatrition about it at her next check up, but if she's eating well, active and healthy she's probably fine and can do anything any other 10year old could. And as a teacher, I know one of the key things for these children is to be careful NOT to treat them as younger. Smaller children are often treated as younger; it's our nature to treat them that way and as long as we're aware of it and make it a point not to she should be just fine. When she needs a confidence boost, remind her that God made us all unique for a reason, and He has great plans for her! (If you believe that yourself ;-)) Jeremiah 29:11. And remember how little David was when he defeated Goliath...
