I have to let you know, that I have 5 kids that 4 were born premature. All 4 that were preemie, had developmental delays. My first to be preemie is now 8 years old, and is perfectly fine. She's actually smarter and bigger than 90 percent of kids her age. Needless to say, my youngest is 2.5 and he still has some delays, has been in multiple agencies to help with speech and what not and is getting better with age. I would say that they will be just fine as time goes by and do not worry! Unless he gets to kindergarten or first grade and then is still having issues, I suggest more professional help because I was told all 4 out of 5 of mine would be delayed for years but they have way outgrown it by the age of 4. So I wish you the best of luck and just hang in there, I know it's hard, but it will get better.
