I had the mirena for a few months and had it removed in October of last year. It's been a little over a year and still have not been able to get pregnant. Should I see a doctor? Has anyone else had this problem?

I was pregnant within 2 months of having mine removed, if you've been trying for a year unsuccessfully you should see a doctor.

Hi, I use a Mirena.
If you have been actively trying to conceive for at least a year, you should go see a doctor. The problem may stem from the Mirena, but chances of that are very slim--most women are able to get pregnant within a few months of having it removed. There could be a problem unrelated to use of the Mirena.
Do you have any other children? Does your partner have other children?

Generally, infertility can be treated very easily, and with a doctor's help, you can get pregnant quickly. There are, of course, some times when treatment is more complicated, or when a natural pregnancy may be impossible, but those instances are pretty rare.

I suggest going to speak with a fertility specialist just to get a feel for your options and learn more about what is going on, but don't stress too much over it. Actually, a lot of stress can make getting pregnant more difficult...
