My son just turned 9, & is asking A LOT of questions, & almost caught me as the tooth fairy. Should I tell him? Or is he too young?

I told my son when he was 11. He was just about to start in high school, so I thought it was time. And yes, he genuinely still believed (no he wasn't just putting on an act). How do I know? Because I told him about Santa first. he told me that he HAD heard his friends talking about it being their parents, but he thought they had just made a mistake. Then 2 days later, he came to me and asked "Mum, if you are Santa, then does that mean you are the Easter Bunny and Tooth Fairy too?". He wouldn't have asked that if he wasn't still believing in them.

I think you could leave it a little longer, but you know your kids best, maybe now IS the best time. I just went with my gut when I told him about it. My 8 year old is still 100% a believer, and I am happy to leave it that way.

They will figure it out on their own or their school mates will tell them. My 11yo knows but hasn't said anything about the tooth fairy (he like to get the money) but he doesn't say anything to his siblings about any of them not being real.

I did have to drag him to get the Santa photo done this year though lol.
