I think today’s moms need the wisdom of both new and old parenting skills experts. The two best books on parenting that I know of are:

Children: The Challenge by Rudolf Dreikurs, Vicki Soltz
Boundaries for Kids by Dr. Henry Cloud.

The Dreikur’s book was by my bedside and read every day while raising two strong-willed sons. They nearly drove me crazy with their rebellious attitudes, especially during teenage years. Dreikur’s gives lots of stories along with methods of how to use logical consequences to teach children how to comply with house rules. As for “Boundaries for Kids” by Dr. Cloud, I just studied this in my counseling college course and wished I had this when my kids were younger.

These books give you an entire life plan for being a parent to your daughters with substantial steps to take when disobedience or bad attitudes happens. Lots of prayer and thoughts are going your way!
