Baby Bunching

I am the mother of a 23 month old and a 6 month old - both boys - thus, two babies under two years old. When I first told people I was pregnant for the second time (when my first son was 9 months old) peoples' reactions were either that my second must be an accident or that it was nice that they would be so close in age. I'd love to hear from others who have two kids within two years (or three within three)....

I've got a 20 month old and an 8 month old. My second was unplanned but also not prevented so can't say accident just how it happened. I mostly got the negative reaction to my second which is difficult especially when it comes from family. I always get the "oh you got your hands full" comments now which sure I guess I do but I don't find having two under two that much more challenging than having one. To me the most difficult part is fitting the groceries in the car with two car seats lol

My two younger boys are 18 moths apart. I have a friend who's boys are literally back to back. She got pregnant on her maternity leave!! LOL

She recommended to just do everything together. To make sure when one gets a kiss then the other gets a kiss. I was comforted because I was overwhelmed thinking how can I possibly share the love? Her advice was golden for me and it really works. I have an older son as well. He is 6 yrs older. My new found advice is to never forget to give them each their one on one time as well. I forgot about that recently and the whole house suffers with that one, so I am back on top of it. Once the oldest acts out then the others follow suit. So, I have to be REALLY conscience.
